Foodie Bear
How cool is it to own a teddy bear who can teach you about food?!! :D
In this video, we present an interactive educational tool that intends to not only stimulate children’s motivation for learning but also teach them about different types of food and associated calorie content. Our design proposes a collaboration between a local grocery store and schools. Food cards were designed to be provided by the grocery store for collection. An interactive teddy bear for school was designed with an actuation mechanism in the belly to display the calorie content of the food card. We hope our design can motivate more children to learn about food and nutrition facts.
Our final teddy bear product!
The rack and pinion mechanism that I designed in Solidworks to actuate the bear's belly. The final product was 3D printed with FormLabs 3D printers.
ANTS
No matter how you slice the time, there are only 24 hours in a day. For many of us, looming deadline and an overloaded schedule seems to paralyze us, and when you don’t have control of your time, it’s easy to end up feeling rushed and overwhelmed.
How about we throw the time away and let the genuine antennas guide us to a new life?
ANTS is a wearable head-mounted device with a system that assists navigation, task reminder, and emotion expression for the user. When people face different situations, the device would automatically give the emotions expression to others through different gestures. Besides, it can also remind the user what is going to happen next without seeing the schedules and time. Moreover, the antennas have a navigation function that could point out the direction for the users and they could just follow the directions. This device creates an experience of freedom for the users that they don’t need to be restrained by time and schedules.
AR Postcard
I assisted with designing the AR postcard for the Invisible Archaeology Exhibition in the Egyptian Museum. An AR Experience is intended to be displayed with the AR postcards. When one launches the app and point the camera to the flower icons on the back of the postcard, he/she can explore different material visualizations of the Cassetta di Kha.
